COVID-19 OFFICE SAFETY POLICIES
FOR UGENT CARE VISITS

Northside Vision is working diligently to keep our patients and staff safe during this global pandemic. To accomplish these goals, Northside Vision has implemented the following procedures to manage urgent in-office visits:

Office Visits
We are postponing all non-essential clinic visits. Urgent clinic visits required to prevent the progression of disease or permanent dysfunction will continue through a careful screening process.

Temperature Screening
All patients and staff will be screened with temperature readings before entry to Northside Vision.

Limiting Visitors
If you are an adult patient, please come alone to your urgent care examination. Non-patient visitors will not be allowed in the Northside Vision reception area or clinical area and must wait for you outside of the office. The only exceptions will be:
(1) an asymptomatic parent of a minor patient, and
(2) an asymptomatic care provider of a patient with a cognitive impairment, and
(3) an asymptomatic care provider of a patient with mobility impairment.

Wear A Mask – as recommended by the CDC
To keep our patients safe, all clinic staff will be wearing either surgical or alternative facemasks, as recommended by the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health. To keep our staff safe, patients are also required to wear a face covering while in our office.

We ask that all patients and visitors to Northside Vision follow current CDC recommendations to wear face coverings in public settings to slow the spread of COVID-19. Please bring your own face covering or mask to wear while at Northside Vision even if you are not symptomatic. If you do not wear a face mask to your visit, we will provide you with a face mask which must be worn during your urgent care visit at our office.

DISINFECTION/CLEANING
Surfaces and equipment are disinfected between patients, and our waiting rooms have been arranged to accommodate appropriate social distancing standards.

Optical Showroom
Our eyewear showroom will open to patients with urgent care issues – i.e., lost or broken eyewear. However, we require that you observe social distancing rules, limit visitors, and require that face coverings be worn while inside Northside Vision.

Allow Extra Time
Due to additional screening activities, please allow extra time upon arrival (approximately 15 minutes).

Your cooperation with these new, temporary guidelines is very much appreciated. As we all band together to work through this unprecedented global health crisis, we thank you for your patience and apologize in advance for any inconvenience it may cause.
